Let us drive you through one of the most beautiful areas in the whole Tuscany region, as well as the most well-known and appreciated by visitors from all over the world
You couldn’t find anything more distinguishing than this full day, if a direct contact with what the Tuscany region has to offer to the visitors and observers from everywhere is what you had on plan.
The borders of the Chianti region extend over the provinces of Florence and Siena, covering all the area between the two cities and extending to the east toward the Valdarno and to the west to the Val d'Elsa. Chianti offers a unique landscape, with green, gentle hills covered with wide fields of vineyards and olive groves.
You will be driven to well 3 typical and characteristic towns of this land, which you really shouldn’t miss if you wish to achieve and learn about the true essence of Tuscany: Panzano, Radda and Castellina in Chianti.
You will walk through ancient and narrow roads, admire imposing medieval defensive walls, stroll along underground tunnels from another era, take some unique pictures of castles, churches and decorations which you really cannot see everyday. The fascinating buildings will really project you into the history of this places.
Your pleasure and entertainment during the day will be also accompanied by some truly delicious and genuine tastes and aromas, while having your typical Tuscan lunch. And don’t miss the opportunity to try the exquisite “gelato”, while in Castellina!
Your Itinerary
- Our driver will bring you from your accommodation to Panzano in Chianti. Here Leonardo da Vinci and Giovanni da Verrazzano lived in the past. You will visit this nice town with some free time. Take note that the valley in front of Panzano is considered the best place in the Chianti area for Sangiovese grape, thus you might be interested in some tastings of red wine while you’re here
- Your next destination will be Radda in Chianti, where you will also have a fabulous Tuscan lunch; you will be driven through an amazing landscape. You will certainly appreciate Radda and the nice main street with typical shops and that cheerful atmosphere!
- The final town before returning to your accommodation is Castellina in Chianti, whose origin dates back even to the Etruscan times. This town has been rebuilt many times, always with larger defensive walls. We advise you to walk along the tunnel here, so you can jump into the Middle Ages!
You will have our English speaking driver and recent and comfortable Mercedes minivan – 7 or 8 passengers plus driver – at your disposal for the entire duration of the tour. All of our vehicles are full optional, also comprehensive of bottles of cold water and WiFi connection.
