It was almost six hundred years ago that merchants had the idea of combining agricultural land with an aesthetically pleasing scenario: thus giving life to the concept of landscape as a creation created by the man.
This idea still persists today: you will be amazed to have the opportunity to get in touch with the splendid and mysterious Val d’Orcia, which was elevated to the status of a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO in 2004. This area is one of the most appreciated and photographed in Tuscany.
Here, you will visit the wonderful medieval cities of Montalcino and Pienza: each of these has its own fame, Montalcino for the production of one of the best italian red wines, the Brunello di Montalcino, and Pienza for its sheep cheese, traditional product exported all over the world. Pienza is also a very renowned and prestigious city, a symbol of the Renaissance period and of the maximum papal power.

Your Itinerary
- First, you will be driven to Pienza, the first beautiful medieval town of the Val d’Orcia that you will visit today
- Delicious lunch in Pienza, after which you will leave for a winery recommended for a first rate tour and tasting
- Visit of Montalcino, free time for shopping in the town before heading back to your accommodation
You will have our English speaking driver and recent and comfortable Mercedes minivan – 7 or 8 passengers plus driver – at your disposal for the entire duration of the tour. All of our vehicles are full optional, also comprehensive of bottles of cold water and WiFi connection.
