The focus of this Vespa day is a visit to the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera. Opened in 2000 in the same building that once housed the tool shop, it is one of the oldest and most fascinating structures in the local industrial complex, where the company began production in the early 1920s.
The main goal of the Museum and its Foundation is the preservation and enhancement of the historical and technological heritage of one of the main and oldest Italian companies, reconstructing, at the same time, both the history of Piaggio and of the entire country, retracing modern Italian history and changes in the economy, habits and styles over the years.
