You couldn’t find anything more distinguishing than this full day tour, if a direct contact with what the Tuscany region has to offer to visitors and observers from all over the world is what you had on plan.
The borders of the Chianti region extend over the provinces of Florence and Siena, covering the whole area between the two cities and extending eastwards towards the Valdarno and westwards as far as the Val d'Elsa. Chianti offers a unique landscape, with gentle green hills covered with large fields of vineyards and olive groves.
You will be taken to four typical and characteristic villages of this land, not to be missed if you want to reach and get to know the true essence of Tuscany: Greve, Panzano, Radda and Castellina in Chianti.
You will walk through ancient and narrow streets, admire imposing medieval defensive walls, walk along underground tunnels from other times, take unique photos of castles, churches and decorations that you really can’t see every day. The fascinating buildings will truly project you into the history of these places.
Your pleasure and enjoyment throughout the day will also be accompanied by some truly delicious and genuine flavors and aromas as you enjoy your typical Tuscan lunch. And don’t miss the opportunity to try an exquisite “gelato”, while you are in Castellina!
Your Itinerary
- Departure from your accommodation. Our tour guy or the guide will take you directly to Greve in Chianti through soft Tuscan hills. There, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the town center and its characteristic main square
- You will be guided to Panzano in Chianti in about 20 minutes. Leonardo da Vinci and Giovanni da Verrazzano lived here in the past. You will visit this beautiful town with some free time. It should be noted that the valley in front of Panzano is considered the best place in Chianti for Sangiovese grapes
- Depart from Panzano for your next stop, Radda in Chianti (approx. 20 minutes drive), where you will also enjoy a fabulous Tuscan lunch; you will be guided through an incredible landscape. You will certainly appreciate Radda and its main street with typical shops and that cheerful atmosphere!
- After lunch, you will move to Castellina in Chianti in about 30 minutes, whose origin dates back to the Etruscan era. This town has been rebuilt several times, always with wider defensive walls. We recommend that you walk along the tunnel here, so you can step back into the Middle Ages! Here, if you wish, you could also taste some excellent ice cream, before returning to your accommodation
You will have our English speaking tour guy or guide and rental Vespas for the entire duration of the tour. All of our tours are private. The tour can be customized according to your particular needs and desires.
